Truely Agile™ Program Overview

Developed in concert with our internal Scrum Alliance Certified Agile Scrum Masters and PMP-Certified Professionals, our Truely Agile™ program has successfully impacted hundreds of participants at numerous Client sites. Our simple yet effective goal is to instruct on the essential fundamentals and principles of Agile and Scrum, thereby creating a foundation for subsequent practical implementation.

With over 30 years of collective Scrum and Agile experience, each member of our training team brings a proven blend of skills, knowledge, and tested techniques to each session. Our training, coaching and consulting are grounded in providing proven best practices and exploring client-driven real-world experiences. Our approach is very “agile.” We are adaptive and flexible, customizing each and every training to best meet the needs of each individual client and/or participant. A Glimpse Into Agile

Heard of Agile but not really sure of what it is? Interested in your company becoming more Agile, but not sure where to start? Join us for A Glimpse Into Agile, where we take participants on a high level overview of Agile and Scrum, an alternative to traditional approaches of sequential product development and/or project management. Become familiar with why Scrum is the preferred methodology of Agile and how becoming more Agile can benefit your company, department, and/or team.

Agile I: Fundamentals and Foundations

This session guides students through the first step in accelerating project and/or product delivery with a thorough introduction to the principles of Agile and Scrum. Emphasis is placed on empowering people to collaborate and make team decisions in addition to continuous planning, continuous testing and continuous integration.

Agile II: Foundation in Practice

In part two of Truely Agile™, participants engage in a highly interactive working session. Students review the fundamental principles of Agile and Scrum, adapt Agile/Scrum in practice with a participant-led fictional Sprint Planning Meeting, Sprint, and Sprint Retrospective. Participants also create a plan for implementing Agile/ Scrum in a real-world, business-specific project. This session guides students through the next step in accelerating project or product delivery.

Agile III-XII: The Drill Down

These sessions are intended to cover specific topics of interest in a detailed manner. Participants who have completed Truely Agile™ Sessions I and II and who want to learn more about particular areas of interest will benefit from the continued exploration.

Agile III: User Stories

This class covers the critical components to a user story including: template, definition of done, acceptance criteria and chunking down the content. The session concludes with a user story writing lab where participants will begin to write user stories for a project they are currently working on.

Agile IV: Burdown Charts & Velocity

This class dives deeper into estimating the size and work to complete during a project and sprint, utilizing burndown charts and understanding the velocity of the project.

Agile V: Sprint Planning

Scrum teams meet before a sprint to plan for the amount of work they will commit to completing in their next iteration. This class goes deeper into identifying risks and dependencies of user stories, batch size, and creating increments.

Agile VI: Prioritization

Learners will understand the different between a push and pull system as well as understand techniques to managing demand of the project

Agile VII: The Scrum Master Role

The Scrum Master is a vital role to the scrum team. Learn more about the responsibilities and challenges of the role to become an even more effective Scrum Master.

Agile VIII: The Product Owner Role

A scrum team relies on their Product Owner for direction during their project. This class dives deeper, identifying the responsibilities of the role and how to overcome common challenges Product Owners face.

Agile IX: Scrum Team Feedback

Feedback in an essential part of any sprint, whether it’s from the client or from the team themselves looking for ways to improve their effectiveness. This class takes the collaboration and feedback of Scrum on a deeper level, looking closer at the Sprint Review and the Retrospective

Agile X: Managing Change

Change is a constant in Agile, and the framework welcomes the change. Learn more about how to best manage change of a project/product for your team with effective communication while making ‘work in progress’ visible

Agile XI: Utilizing the Most Out of Tools & Applications

Instruction on popular tools of Agile, Rally and JIRA, with focus on best practice implementation

Agile XII: Scrum Team Building

Improve communication and collaboration through team building exercises while empowering and strengthening your team

Customized for each individual participant and/or client need, our SCRUM Alliance Certified Agile Scrum Masters and PMP-Certified Professionals join you onsite to assist in applying the fundamentals and foundations of Agile and Scrum.
