Partner and Treasurer
Marcus has been with True since its inception in 2004 as one of the Partners. During that time, he has acted in a variety of roles and has contributed to True’s growth from his initial home office to assisting in the oversight of True’s six offices and hundreds of Team Members across the country. Currently, Marcus oversees contracts and compliance across all business areas within True. In this capacity, he acts as the liaison between companies, employees, customers, vendors, and independent contractors. He is the key facilitator for contract negotiations, recommendations, document governance and monitoring, and compliance. Marcus is responsible for all contract formulation, evaluation, negotiation, and execution. He ensures alignment and thereby best practices are met in a smooth, streamlined process throughout the contract lifecycle.
Additionally, Marcus currently oversees the recruiting division at True. In this capacity, Marcus has been instrumental in developing the direction of the workforce, examining hiring trends and anticipating the organization’s response to labor market changes. He has built and oversees the full life cycle of the recruitment and selection process, from the job-requisition step to the job-offer stage to bringing new employees on board.
Marcus has been in the consulting industry for over 18 years having started as a recruiter working at TMP Worldwide (parent company to Monster.com). After working in both small and large publicly traded companies, he knew he wanted to use his talents to truly make a difference. When True began, he knew he could take his vast knowledge of the technology industry and best practices in talent acquisition and do just that. At True, he has applied them to help create the direction and strategy of recruiting, business and client compliance, and internal corporate policies. Through the years, this exposure has given him a unique vantage point and approach to True’s business and development.
Marcus graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Certificate in Professional Selling.
Marcus is a frequent volunteer for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana (RMHC-CNI). He has also served as a board member for Journey of the Heart Adoption Services. Marcus and his wife, Sue, live in Wheaton with their 2 daughters.
