Chief Information Officer
Bill joined True Group in November 2014 as Chief Information Officer (CIO), providing strategic oversight of enterprise information technology (IT) activities particularly in the Private Equity (PE) space. Prior to True, Bill gained 25 years of diverse experience in the technology realm through hands-on experience leading multi-million-dollar organizations through IT transformation.
Included in Bill’s responsibilities of enterprise IT, infrastructure, and service delivery direction across True, he also oversees the Advisory Services practice. The Advisory Services practice aids mid-sized companies in developing and maintaining network, computing, server, storage, collaboration and infrastructure solutions across the enterprise. Additional practice services include program management, enterprise reporting, ERP deployment, infrastructure engineering and operations, application development, portfolio management and process re-engineering. These services are particularly well aligned to True’s Private Equity clients.
Specific to the Private Equity community, Bill has built enterprise organizations from scratch in less than 90 days for PE Carve-Outs which included full network migration, full ERP implementation, and full enterprise reporting capabilities. Bill has also aided our PE clients with enterprise IT strategies and efficiencies across the entire portfolios. Finally, Bill has also led multiple due-diligence discovery initiatives for our PE clients.
Additionally, Bill has a proven track record of effectively managing large projects, initiating and maintaining continuous improvement, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality solutions to complex challenges, and creating highly effective teams. He has a team-building management style focused on establishing high personal performance standards with strong loyalty to company goals to exceed both internal and external customer expectations.
Bill earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a minor in computer science from St. Norbert College.
Bill has been active for many years in charitable causes all focusing on children and their families. He has been involved with the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Palmetto Children’s Home, and most recently, as Chairman of the Board for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indian (RMHC-CNI) after serving two, three-year terms on its Board. He is presently a member of the RMHC-CNI Development Committee responsible for assisting the Development Team make people aware of the mission and connect donors with the charity. Bill and his wife Carol, live in Naperville with their daughter.
