True is a privately held company – intentionally. We simply don’t believe that service-based companies should be publicly traded organizations. There – we said it! Service providers, whether Tech and Training providers like True or any other type of company in the service industry, are ultimately only as good as their teams. It’s a simple truth.
Other industries thrive in public markets—Transportation, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Financial, Hospitality/Retail. Actually, they are better for the financial strength and stability in the public space that their capital-intensive markets require. Indeed, for those industries, public markets are essential. But in True’s space, service is almost exclusively about people. And when it comes to people, profit cannot be the primary focus.
When the founders of True were leaders in global, publicly-traded consulting and training firms, they learned first-hand that the first priority was to the shareholders; they experienced how decisions were made more often than not at the detriment of those company’s people. It happens every 90 days in every publicly held service company. We all know it.
True was founded on a simple truth (thus the name) that our people and our Clients are the most important aspects of our business. If we take care of both; then, and only then, can True be a healthy company. Over 15 years later, we believe that we’ve proven this truth to be so.
We often win RFPs for Next Gen Platforms, Enterprise Change Management/Training Programs, and Digital Deployments against those very big 4 or 6 or 12 publicly traded companies. And we’re told almost every day by CIOs, CEOs, CLOs, CFOs (yes, even CFOs give us compliments!!) and their teams, that True is like nothing that they’ve ever seen before: we’re smaller than the big guys, but we deliver better and with more breadth of capabilities than those large companies. Again, we are humbled by the compliments and gratified by the results.
Today, True has hundreds of employees across six offices (and growing). We provide solutions to Clients large, mid, and small. Our teams support Clients both nationally and globally. And, we’re fortunate to work primarily in three market segments: Life Sciences, Hospitality (Petro, QSR, Retail), and Private Equity (PE).
